Depending on the season, your main target species will be Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin and Sailfish, although we regularly encounter Mahi Mahi, Spanish Mackerel, Wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna. We practice catch and release for all aquatic species however caught fish may be kept, providing they meet the approved species, size and bag limit specifications as provided by WA Department of Fisheries.
Although most species are present all year round, as a general guide, peak seasons for billfish are:
Blue Marlin - October to March
Black Marlin - July to March
Striped Marlin - September to Jan
Sailfish - July to December
Blessed with more than 300 days of sunshine every year, Exmouth enjoys dry and warm weather year round, with no defined wet season.
Winter daytime temperatures average 25 degrees, with summer ranging between 30-45 degrees. The wind is always a factor in determining where we launch and fish and for what species.
